Real-time investment tips delivered through a trustworthy mobile experience
- Mobile App
- Fintech

Overview
A Hungarian stock-market mentoring program needed a native mobile app for delivering market tips, notifications, and learning materials to subscribers. Given the high credibility demands of financial products, the interface had to project trustworthiness through design alone.
The challenge
The app had to balance time-sensitive market alerts with educational materials for different skill levels. Push notifications needed urgency without inducing anxiety, while the content library had to support both beginner learning and experienced-investor depth.
The solution
The architecture prioritized a notification-first tip feed with real-time updates. Educational resources were isolated in a topic-organized section with difficulty levels, letting users self-select content depth. The visual approach emphasized restraint — clean typography, confident spacing, and a minimal palette — to establish credibility.
Outcome
- Notification system tuned for time-critical alerts
- Real-time tip feed with trust-building layout
- Educational content segmented by topic and experience level
- Unified Figma design system across iOS and Android
User Journey Analysis
Actor: Stock market subscriber receiving the morning tip
Receives 7 AM alert: 'Market opening watch: 3 stocks to monitor'
Notification copy follows a strict format: context + specificity — never a vague 'check the app' prompt
Swipes to open — tip feed is visible in under 3 seconds, no login wall
Biometric auth with persistent session — returning subscribers never re-enter credentials
Reads the analysis: what to watch, why now, what action to consider
Every tip has exactly three fields: situation, rationale, recommendation — never ambiguous
Taps 'Explain this sector' — reads relevant background from the content library
Educational content linked contextually from tips — not siloed in a separate tab requiring navigation
Saves the tip to their watchlist — will revisit at market close
Watchlist action is one tap from the tip card — zero navigation overhead
UX Artifacts
Trust Signal Framework for Financial UX
- Visual restraint
- Minimal palette — avoids the 'get-rich-quick' aesthetic that signals low credibility
- Data sourcing
- Every tip cites the analyst behind it — named, with experience context
- Risk disclosure
- Plain-language risk note on every tip — not buried in footer or terms
- Track record transparency
- Historical performance shown per analyst — not cherry-picked highlights
- Notification tone
- Informative, not urgent — anxiety-inducing language actively removed from copy
Push Notification UX Audit
- Maximum frequency
- 2 per day — morning market open + optional close-of-day summary
- Copy length limit
- Under 80 characters — full context always in the app, not the notification
- Banned language
- 'ACT NOW', 'URGENT' — replaced with factual, calm framing
- Deep-link behaviour
- Notification opens directly to the relevant tip — never the app home screen
- Opt-out granularity
- By tip type (e.g., crypto only) — not just all-or-nothing
- Badge count
- Disabled — badge numbers on finance apps create compulsive checking behaviour
